Hi! My name is Noah. I’m a PhD student in philosophy at Purdue University. I received my master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Edinburgh in 2023.
I’m interested in epistemology, metaethics, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion. I’ve published papers on some of these topics in journals such as Analysis, Episteme, The Journal of Ethics and Social Philosophy, and Faith and Philosophy. For more information about my research, check out my CV and PhilPapers page!
Lately, I’ve wondered about whether insights into the evolution of human cognition should lead us to reconsider our moral and religious perspectives on the world. I’ve also wondered about what kinds of objects human minds are (material? immaterial? simple? composite? enduring? instantaneous?).
When I’m not doing philosophy, I’m usually either spending time with my wife, Alexandra, or coaching speech and debate. I love coffee, and I’m so stunned by the beauty of nature that I’ve drawn grand metaphysical conclusions from it.
